Mango Rains

The engrossing true story of Nid, a young Thai girl who was sold into prostitution so that her family could buy a water buffalo. When Nid becomes pregnant, her mamasan throws her out. She moves to Bangkok with her baby, where she returns to prostitution. Finding it hard to cope as a single mother, she agrees to let a woman mind her baby but soon realises that she has been tricked when the woman disappears with her daughter. Nid is to spend the next 20 years searching for her baby girl, while at the same time developing her career as a successful singer.
