This autobiography tells of the struggle between two opposing ideologies, Christianity and Nazism and its effect on the author's home and family. The book documents her flight from East Prussia to escape the approaching Russian army. It tells of her life in Germany under Russian occupation and of the life she eventually made for herself in Britain.
