Merkaba Romana

“Merkaba Romana” is a compelling human story, placed in Europe, during the Second World War. It’s a Grail saga about a group of wandering Gypsy musicians, who perform their music, traveling throughout the war torn continent. They consider their art as a redeeming ticket to life and survival, like the music of Django Reihardt. Eventually they are arrested by the Nazis and deported to Auschwitz death camp. They survived there for a while and became witnesses to the atrocities, including Dr. Mengele’s experiments on the Roma children. In the cruel world of racism, eugenics and oppression, hope is the understated concept.
