Description

The Leprechaun and His Bag of Gold is a story of a leprechaun named Filbert Nutt and his best friend, Dorr Stopp. Filbert was born with his right leg shorter than the left. He also had a learning disability. Because he was handicapped and slow, children made fun of him, tripped him, and called him names. Buck Molar, a bully whose treatment of Filbert greatly saddened Dorr, had to learn a very important lesson. The Leprechaun and His Bag of Gold teaches children to be compassionate towards those who are handicapped. A leprechaun's goal in life is to find a bag or pot of gold. Was it gold in the bag that Dorr Stopp found?
