Description

The story you are about to read is fiction. Please keep that in mind throughout. A student of the Bible, I have always been enamored by the magnitude of Scripture. I have always been enamored by the magnitude of Scripture. For me, one of the most challenging questions in Bible exegesis has been "how far to go" in interpreting recurring passages and abstract themes running through the Word (which neither fit my understanding nor my doctrines). An "end times" enthusiast, I am often particularly challenged by topics of "resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment," and the "perfecting of the saints". The temptation, of course, is to try and make those truths fit within my comfort zone, disregarding Scriptural inferences which would require me to change my way of thinking. But, when confronted with Scriptures such as that found in I Corinthians 2:9, which says, "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him," I must come to terms with the likelihood that there are truths inside the Bible, yet outside my present understanding. This novel was written as an exercise in free thinking and should be fun for those who enjoy asking God, "why?" Admittedly, some of the fictionalized premises are "way out there," yet within what I feel to be the boundaries of God's limitless Word. Please pardon my paradox, but Scripture itself is filled with paradoxes. I have found that some of God's richest truths are couched within His apparent contradictions. I have purposed to write this fiction responsibly, It would be unfortunate if anyone took what I have written into imbalance. If the reader can walk away from this novel inspired towards growing in Christ and in unity with other Christians, I will have achieved my goal.
