Although designed as a guide for water-quality testing by students in grades 7-12 and their teachers, thisbook can be used by anyone interested in performing the tests commonly included in the Water Quality Index (WQI). While most of the tests in this book describe the use of a Vernier sensor with a computer (or handheld devices), several tests include an alternative method that does not use electronic sensing at all. Word-processing files on the CD-ROM (included) enable teachers and other facilitators to edit documents to suit the task.
