The SS Independence and SS Constitution were two of the world's most famous, popular, and innovative ocean liners, symbols of American maritime design and construction. They were big, fast, and very comfortable. This new well-illustrated history was published in 2001 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of their completion by American Export Lines.
