All About Me

All About Me is a " theme based " workbook (the author calls it a project), which reflects the student's own world and experience, and is one answer to the never ending problem of making English fun. English should not be seen as just another subject at school to be studied, examined and promptly forgotten when the exams are over! It should not be seen as distant or unreal. The students need to see it as relevant to themselves and realize that they can use it to talk about themselves and not just those parts of the world where English is spoken ( i.e. The U.K. and the U.S.A. ). Especially in these days of computer technology, people are beginning to realize that English is the international language. The idea of "project work" in teaching is not a new one as it has been used for many years in other subject areas, but its practice in the English teaching world is still fairly new.
