From Pigeons to Tweets

The author led the U.S. Army into the modern age of computer warfare developing portals through which avenues of digitalization eventually flowed to civilian use. A graduate of West Point, he rose to the rank of Commanding General of the U.S. Army's Signal Corps developing technology used by all the military services. This is his story beginning as a lieutenant in the Korean War when he used radio communication with pigeon backup to Operation Desert Storm when computer warfare was used for the first time.
