American Attitudes: What Americans Think About the Issues That Shape Their Lives

Coaxes the results of the General Social Survey out of the shadows of academia and makes them available for researchers who want to explore Americans' changing attitudes on topics ranging from gay marriage to the American Dream. The data are presented by sex, age, race, Hispanic origin, and education. It also compares attitudes in 2008 with 1998, 1988, and (if available) 1978, examining how opinions have changed during those three decades.
