There are nine test areas across three cognitive areas found on the CogAT® Form 7 exam:
VERBAL Verbal Analogies (24 questions) Sentence Completion (20 questions) Verbal Classification (20 questions)
QUANTITATIVE Number Analogies (18 questions) Number Puzzles (16 questions) Number Series (18 questions)
NONVERBAL Figure Matrices (22 questions) Paper Folding (16 questions) Figure Classification (22 questions)
The object of this practice test is to familiarize your child with the type of questions they will face on test day, how the tests are formatted, the symbols used and the number of questions in in each test area. However, since this practice test has not been standardized with Riverside Publishing and the actual CogAT® exam, a valid CogAT® test score cannot be concluded from their results on this practice test.
