What happens when a fashion designer meets breast cancer? Faced with a new body after two mastectomies, a fashion designer embarks on a quest to redefine and clothe her new body. In this true story, she faces self-discovery and unexpected results as she sets out to design a line of clothes for women facing body issues such as hers. With a sense of humor, she challenges her life as a flat-chested woman, explores alternatives, and asks: Are breasts an integral part of female identity, society's requirement of a woman, or simply an accessory? "Do You Think I Need to Wear Boobs with this Dress?" is a very candid, light, and down-to-earth book for anyone struggling with self-image or learning to live as a cancer survivor. The author takes a serious topic and turns it into an easy and enjoyable read. It’s a story about life as a daughter, wife, mother, and friend while surviving cancer; accepting a different path in life than previously planned. I am honored to have met the author, realizing that Lynne is just like her book: strong, heart-warming, genuine, and amazingly entertaining. As a cancer survivor, Lynne was the keynote speaker at the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life event in Teller County, Woodland Park, Colorado. I witnessed a captivated audience as they nodded in relation to her experience; laughed at her witty, descriptive words; and shed tears with their shared struggle of fighting the disease.
