Description ▲
From the basic pure interceptor, Mirage F1, the Dassault company developed two specialized versions, one for all-weather low altitude reconnaissance, named F-1CR and intended to replace the Mirage IIIR and the other designed for tactical attack, named F-1CT, which entered service as a successor to the Mirage IIIE. Produced respectively at 66 and 57, the majority of these planes are still in service in the French Air Force and have seen action in recent conflicts, in the First War in the Gulf and in Kosovo in particular. When production of the F1 Mirage ceased, a total of 731 machines had been built, a part of which being used by nine Foreign countries, in Europe (Greece, Spain) in Africa (Morocco, South Africa), in the Middle-East (Iraq, Kuwait) and even in Latin America (Ecuador).
