Beat the Clock

In Beat the Clock , François Brochenin presents and illustrates one of the graffiti writer's basic means of expression, the flop or "throw-up". Through a collection of photographs , testimonies, and an iillustrated "catalogue" of specific writers' throw-ups, the reader is initiated into an understanding of this calligraphic tool used by the street writer/artist as a signature, executed as fast as possible to cover as large a space as possible, hence the title, "Beat the Clock".
