Advances in Particle Adhesion

The adhesion of particles to substrates is a topic of great technological importance to scientists and engineers in a variety of fields including xerography, aerosols, semiconductor device fabrication, paints and coatings, agricultural science, colloids and pharmacology. This work brings together a selection of multidisciplinary papers given at the 17th Annual Meeting of the Adhesion Society. It includes research in the areas of aerosol deposition and resuspension, adhesion induced deformations of materials, new experimental techniques in adhesion research, theoretical advances in particle adhesion research, theoretical advances in particle adhesion and tribo-electrification.
