Talents 17 - Life with Maggie: Young Photography/Art Criticism

The exhibition series ?Talents? consists of three titles: Talents 15 ? In Limbo, Talents 16 ? Approximate Landscape and Talents 17? Life With Maggie. This series of exhibits and accompanying books have been created to support up-and-coming photographers and art critics who are launching their careers, providing an experimental platform for new talents and voices emerging from Europe. Each solo exhibition is accompanied by a publication in which the images and texts create a dialog: the emerging talents introduce themselves and their projects to a wider audience and put their work up for discussion, creating a public forum. American photographer Ofer Wolberger?s exhibition ?Life with Maggie? features Maggie in tourist settings, her face behind a mask. The photographs reflect a search for identity, recalling the tradition of Street Photography and New Color Photography. The familar photographs convey need for identity and place and the difficulty finding them in a moving society.
