Biblical Quotations and Allusions in Second Temple Jewish Literature (Journal of Ancient Judaism. Supplements)

Using new search capabilities of electronic databases this volume presents a comprehensive list of allusions to and quotations of the books collected in the Hebrew Bible in the Jewish literature from the Second Temple period. It is therefore an indispensable tool for everyone interested in ancient Judaism, the Hebrew Bible and its reception. In order to use it easier the quotations and allusions are listed twice: One list follows the sequence of the biblical books by chapter and verse according to their Masoretic Text. The second list groups it in the sequence in which they are employed by the quoting or alluding literature.
