Low Energy Electrons and Surface Chemistry

This introductory survey of the methods that use the interaction of low energy electrons with solid matter is designed for scientists working in surface chemistry. The authors provide the theoretical background and deal in detail with applications of specific techniques for gaining information about the chemical, geometric, and electronic properties of the topmost atomic layer of a solid. Examples are used to illustrate the results that can be obtained.
