This is the first introductory monograph exclusively devoted to the dynamic properties of lasers.
Broad in scope, the book considers subjects ranging from the history of lasers dynamics through the basic theoretical models of nonlinear dynamics to the several types of lasers used in practice. Since the most important experiments and theoretical work on dynamics of lasers up to 1990 is treated, coverage is exceptionally up-to-date.
