Element Concentration Cadasters in Ecosystems: Methods of Assessment and Evaluation

Steadily increasing pollution, caused by inorganic and organic substances introduced by man, requires permanent global monitoring of the enrichment of potential pollutants and the observation of adverse biological effects on the ecosystems. Monitoring is a very difficult task, particularly with respect to representative sampling, sample preparation, instrumental determination and data evaluation.

This book, the result of a workshop on Element Concentration Cadasters in Ecosystems, gives a current account of environmental analytical chemistry.
