Peripheral Blood Stem Cell Autografts

There is increasing interest in the use of circulating stem cells in transplantation. The objective of this book is to provide all the necessary basic knowledge and methodology, and at the same time current developments and future strategies. Starting from current knowledge about stem cells,their regulation, mobilization, and harvesting, their use for transplantation in various malignant hematological and nonhematological diseases is described. Updated results of the application of this modern approach in each disease group are reviewed by the leading clinical centers. For the first time, all the various aspects that are either scattered throughout the literature or, often, not yet published are made easily accessible in this textbook.
