There is a game-show host, holding the ring for the actions and interested in the outcome, participating in the world of heroes through other knights rather than his own actions. There is a weak king, unable to make decisions on his own, only acting when someone advises him to do so. And, there is a character who is very human, an eternal child waiting in his court for a guest or a knight to arrive with a story or a marvellous adventure - husband, brother, and friend who does not want to believe that those whom he loves are acting against him.
