Factors Affecting Poverty Status Of Landless and Peasant Women: An Empirical Study of the Factors Affecting Poverty Status of Landless and Peasant Women

The book is about the factors of poverty that are affecting the landless and peasant women in Faisalabad (Pakistan). Some factors that are involved to enhanced the landless poverty in peasants’ women like gender bias, custom and traditions, large family size, food insecurity, access to assets, property rights, lack of income, education, etc. The major cause of poverty in landless and peasant women are highly unequal distribution of assets particularly land and access to water. Quantitative research methodologies are used. It is concluded that peasant women should be given empowerment to enhance their participation in decision making processes.
