Synthesis of Some New Phthalazinediones: Synthesis, Dyes Applications and Antibacterial Evaluation of Some New Phthalazinediones

This book reported the literature survey of the chemistry of dibenzobarallene. The activity of dibenzobarallene and their synthetic importance were investigated. Syntheses, reactions and the biological importance of dibenzobarallene were also investigated. Furthermore, the obtained results were discussed, 51 novel compounds and some related analogues were synthesized, the synthetic mechanisms were investigated and compounds were established by elemental analyses and spectral data. Such novel compounds were prepared in this book based on dibenzobarallene namely; thiocarbamoyl, thiazolidin-5-one, 4-arylazo-1,3-thiazolidin-5-one, N-substituted isonidole, thiazole, thiophene, S,N-acetal and thiazolidinone derivatives. The investigated compounds exhibited good antibacterial activities. The color measurements and fastness properties were evaluated for some of the prepared aryl azo derivatives on some synthetic fabrics. Finally, the experimental methods were included.
