Low-Altitude Radio-Controlled Electric UAV: Concept,Design,Sizing,Propulsion and Test Flight

This book is a collection of the design reports submitted by participating teams (TEAM PARAGON,TEAM BERKUT & TEAM BERKUT-II)of NED University of Engineering and Technology in the 4th,5th and 6th National Design, Build and Fly Competitions in 2009,2010 & 2011 respectively organised by Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology's Student Chapter of AIAA (American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics)and Higher Education Commission(HEC),Pakistan.The participating teams secured 1st position in Electric Powered Category of the competition in 2009,2010 and won Special Prize in 2011.Moreover, the TEAMS were highly appreciated for the implementation of the innovations in the competition as well as for their extensive research in achieving the goals of the competitions.The book provides design methodology,fabrication techniques and test flight evaluation in validating the analytic studies in achieving prototypes having demonstrated flight handling qualities,practical & affordable manufacturing requirements while providing a high endurance. Mr.Umair Mughal,Mr.Syed Ahsan Mustaqeem,Mr. Obaid ur Rehman and Mr.Raja Simab Khan are pioneers of DBFC in NEDUET.
