Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh is one of the most densely populated cities of the South-Asian countries. Due to rapid urbanization process, the city is emerging as a mega-city and this trend generates numerous burning issues. Water logging is one of those issues. The study was concerned to analyze the drainage pattern of the study area, to evaluate the causes of water logging and its impact on women of the study area. Analysis of the study shows various factors of water logging like drainage congestion, improper drainage system, lack of public awareness etc. There is brief discussion on existing drainage system and required drainage system in this research. The study briefly describes the effect of water logging on women in Dhaka city like their socio-economic status, social harassment issues etc. Impact of water logging on urban women is also briefly mentioned in the study. Various probable recovery points related to sufferings of the women is briefly discussed here. Definitely this research will be helpful for the concerned authority to solve water logging and also for those who want to study on urban women issues.
