Description

Dyslexia, known to affect more than 17% of English speaking population of school going children, is defined as impairment in reading efficiency of children having normal intelligence which may also be present during adult age and affects their professional lives. The severity of this reading impairment is different, sometimes it may be simple and only associated with lack of perception of written text but most of the times, it may be complex and causes impaired visual processing, auditory stimulation and speech defects. According to UNESCO, 10% population of the world was found with dyslexia till 2010 out of which 5% were found with more severe form of dyslexia. In United States 5 to 20% of school-aged children are suffering from dyslexia. Dyslexia is one of the most common learning disability, known to affect almost 80% of memory. Dyslexia is actually a chronic condition which is persistent and affected individuals have to live their entire lives with it. So in my opinion people should be aware about it, basically its etiology, symptoms and precautions so that they can get necessary treatment on time. All common and different aspects of dyslexia are provided in this book.
