They are turning out to be unaffordable due to its limited resources and their huge demand. Above all, fossil fuels are highly polluting the mother earth. Thus, the need of the hour is to look for an alternate energy source which can cover up limitations of fossil fuels. Research on biomass emphasis that biomass can effectively substitute fossil fuels. There are many routes for recovering energy from biomass. Apropos, hydrogen is believed to be the fuel for the next generation. Realising the importance of biomass and hydrogen energy, this work focuses on generating hydrogen from biomass by combining slow pyrolysis and steam gasification processes.
