Description

Guava (Psidium guajava L.) belongs to Myrtaceae family and having chromosome number 2n=22, is an evergreen tree and one of the major fruit crops of India. It is quite hardy, prolific bearer and highly remunerative even without much care. Guava is very responsive to the application of inorganic fertilizers along with organic manures. Considering economy, energy and environment, it is imperative that plant nutrients should be used effectively by adopting proper nutrient management to ensure high yield. Integrated nutrient management are being practiced and experimented in various parts of our country. However, under foothill condition of Arunachal Pradesh there is no report about the integrated nutrient management in guava cv. L-49 (Sardar).Keeping in mind of the above mentioned facts and realizing the need for production of superior fruit quality and maximum yield, the present study entitled “Integrated Nutrient Management (INM) in Guava (Psidium guajava L.) cv.
