The Social Dimension of Security in Electronic Voting Systems

Human involvement cannot be eradicated from the processes and activities surrounding electronic voting systems. Therefore, technological sophistication and highly efficient IT infrastructure and expertise cannot ensure total security in electronic voting. The results of this book show that security in electronic voting cannot be achieved by technical means alone, but by giving equal consideration to both the technical and the social factors.
