Analysis of local scale temperature patterns in a complex urban area: Urban Heat Island

This book aims to analyse local scale air temperature patterns & their relationships with urban morphology & surface cover in city south of Manchester by using day time & nocturnal transect data during summer season 2010. The impact of urban temperature is a vital issue to urban heat island (UHI) analysis. The hotter & dried summer scenarios would be major problem in Manchester city. Therefore, there is need to examined urban temperature to mitigate cities climate to urban environment.
