Impact of Supervision on School Improvement: Supervision and student achievement realtionship: the case of some selected Secondary Schools of SNNPRS, Ethiopia

This is a serious exploration of the effect of supervisory practices on school improvement which mainly focuses on students learning outcome-academic achievement. The government is spending millions on school leadership development initiatives particularly on capacity building of supervisors. But are these programs paying off? Impact of Supervison on School Improvement takes a hard look at the successes and failures of several secondary schools in terms of student achievement and explores the role of supervisor on exhibiting this goal. Findings show that though supervision has impact on student achievement, its relationship is indirect and has low effect. Supervisors and people working in education field will benefit from this book.
