This book is about the formation and evolution of galaxy cluster and their properties. It studies how galaxy clusters evolved and changed since the Universe was nearly 60% younger than it is now. It presents in details contemporary studies of intra-cluster medium (ICM) of galaxy clusters in the X-ray part of the spectrum. It also covers the the evolution of optical properties of galaxies themselves and highlights how evolution is governed by the complicated interactions of galaxies and their host environments.
