Description ▲
Poultry could be a major source of today’s emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases that threaten both human and animal populations of the world like highly pathogenic avian influenza. In the mean time poultry products could be a promising functional food that may contribute in strengthen human health in the third millennium. There is a public concern about how diet affects health and risk for disease, but they are often confused when presented with conflicting reports in the news media. May be because of misinterpreted the scientific and clinical studies. I am trying to shine the spotlight on the missed concepts of the impact of poultry production and products on human health and well-being. Also, I study nutrigenomics approach to understand the effects of Japanese origin probiotic (Koji) on animal production and product quality.
