Description

This book is concerned about Analysis of Detection Range of Wireless Sensor Network issues in wireless network. Detection being one of the major issues in wireless sensor networks to make more efficient network, detection range is one of the important parameter of wireless Ad-Hoc network which will judge the performance of wireless communication system, it is also a key aspect when it comes to a complete efficient network for Wireless Communication. The detection problem is considered for target detection applications in wireless sensor networks. Unlike conventional coverage problems which assume sensing regions are disks around sensors, we define the sensing region according to detection constraints in terms of false alarm probability and missing probability. It is shown that exploiting cooperation between sensors can extend the overall sensing region while maintaining the same constraints on false alarm probability and missing probability. In the present project a very fundamental and important property of wireless multi-hop networks namely detection range is analyzed in the presence of fading which is more practical scenario for wireless ad-hoc sensor network.
