Natural Gas Hydrates and Damage to the Hydrocarbon Production

This book consists of information regarding issues related to Natural Gas Hydrates, “How they are formed?” and “What problems do they cause during flow of hydrocarbon?” etc. The book also incorporates the different methodologies that are used around the world for inhibiting the natural gas hydrates. In order to achieve better understanding of the issues, a gas composition has been taken from the practical field and modeling has been done on it using Multiflash software. Appropriate inhibiting method has suggested on the basis of model. A report on case study also been included at the end of book, which outlines the calculation of pressure drop and a plot of Q Vs ΔP for Mono-ethylene glycol for a Hydrate study. Further the report includes a manual calculation using Poiseuille’s Law for laminar flow and a direct calculation using software SF version 6.2. The comparison between these two methods is also highlighted at the end of the report.
