A weed is a plant which grows where it is unwanted.It badly affect the production of crops in India.The book has been written with a view to giving a glimpse to identification of weeds,its distribution,chemical composition,biological activity,folk uses and,remedy to overcome in some cultivated fields of Bharuch district.The data presented are based on actual field work conducted by the authors for a period spread over more than three years(2006-2009) to collect a first hand account on weeds in different season and different crops. This book will be very useful and will stimulate further interest and urge among farmer,taxonomist as well as Ethnobotanists and agricultural scientist.
