50er Jahre Keramik: Der Alltag Der Moderne (The Day-To-Day of Modernism: Ceramics in the Fifties, German Edition)

This publication, illustrating approximately 300 objects, is the first survey of ceramic production in Germany in the fifties. The author traces the development from ceramics freed of traditional German principles such as of the Werkbund or the Bauhaus to the incorporation of influences of abstract modernism such as of the American design movement with references to over 100 manufacturers and over 100 designers.
