In 1999, shortly before entering the current millennium, Horst Haack decided to illustrate all 22 chapters of St. John’s Apocalypse.
The accompanying text explores literary as well as artistic positions that originated since the Apocalypse was written until modern times. It shows, too, how masterly Haack understood to combine fragments of text and his colorful illustrations in order to transport the contents of the ancient ideas into our times.
