Over a period of eighteen months, a select group of more than 40 international artists and writers focused their attention on Berlins Tegel Airport, which is scheduled to close in 2015. This combined book and DVD is the outcome of an open-ended inquiry that embodies new perspectives and approaches to the problem of urban renewal, social organisation, mobility, regeneration and the legacy of modernist architecture. The group observed how the airport is currently used, engaged in new activities and imagined how it might function in the future.
