Natsumi Hayashi - Today's Levitation (Japanese and English Edition)

Japanese photographer Natsumi Hayashi is fascinated with levitation. By carefully adjusting the shutter speed on her camera and gracefully leaping into the air, she captures magical self-portraits wherein time and gravity are suspended in a series of transient moments. By freeing herself from gravity, she also becomes liberated from social conventions, able to just be herself. Hayashis images find place in a range of everyday settings, from metro stations and city sidewalks to empty buildings and natural backdrops.
