The Coins of Korea and an Outline of Early Chinese Coinages

This rare and extremely-difficult-to-obtain book is reproduced here. Heretofore, there has been little demand for and interest in Oriental coins, and even less enthusiasm for researching and collecting them here in the West. This has been due to the fact probably that, as opposed to U.S. and European coins, Oriental and Far Eastern coins were not easily found nor plentiful in the West. However, in recent years interest has been growing among Westerners, and the burgeoning popularity entailed therein has necessitated a review, examination and survey of the numismatic reference materials and literature on the market. Consequently it was found that one of the best books in English on Korean coins was produced by Mr. Alan D. Craig entitled “The Coins of Korea and an Outline of Early Chinese Coinage”.
