High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Arzawa in the second half of the second millennium BC (roughly from late 15th century until the beginning of the 12th century) was the name of a region and a political entity (a "kingdom" or a federation of local powers) in Western Anatolia, the core area of which was centered on the Hermos (Gediz) and Maeander river valleys, corresponding with the Late Bronze Age kingdoms of the Seha River Land and Mira-Kuwaliya. A central part of Arzawa was later to become known as Lydia.
