Description

The Myth of Sisyphus is a philosophical essay whose subtitle of the original book is On Absurdity. In Camus's philosophy, absurdity is not proposed as a result, but a starting point. He explored the existence of human from the premise of the absurdity. Since we are facing the absurd world and life, is absurdity is bound to result in suicide? In Camus's opinion, no fate is to punish people, as long as you exhaust it, it will have a happy ending. Camus thought suicide was a kind of escape in essence and the opposite of resistance; it wanted to eliminate absurdity which would never be eliminated. It is like Sisyphus' fate, he is punished by gods. He will continue to push the stones rolled down to the top of the mountain. Sisyphus knows that what he is doing is useless, but he still pushes boulders uphill. His action itself is revolting to the absurd , his conscious perception is his feeling of happiness.
