Description

For the first time after more than 80 years the beautiful poetry of the young Hazrat Inayat Khan (1882-1927) is becoming available again. It mostly stems from his life period in his native India before going to the West in 1910. The English rendering is typical of the outgoing Victorian age. But even today its devotional nature and blossoming description seems to be apt to the rich flowering of the Urdu original. This edition draw the attention to the exceptionally beautiful frontispiece. It has been reproduced for this edition from a rare copy of the 1915 edition with the original signature of the author to which the latter has added ''khaaki-i-pai-Sufiyaan'': he the outstanding Sufi of modern times presenting himself as no more than dust at the feet of Sufi`s.
