It will be called her good luck that Lakshmibai, born in an ordinary Brahmin family, became the Maharani of Jhansi. But the rare reticence, courage and bravery she displayed while fighting the enemy army during India's first fight for freedom were her individual understanding and her genius as a warrior. Some of our brethren played traitors in India's fight for freedom; otherwise the Englishmen would have abandoned and left India at that time itself in the face of the Maharani's courage and valour. This book presents a datewise account of these events.
