Community Participation in Natural Resource Management

"The existing unsatisfactory condition of our natural resources is primarily a failure of the past resource management system and policies. Conservation, management and development of natural resources on a scientific basis cannot be done properly without involving the rural communities which derive their sustenance from the natural resources.
