Sane Guruji's Shyam's mother =: Syamaci ai (Bhavan's book university)

V. Sivaramakrishnan, M.A., Indian Economic Service (Retd.), was the Associate Editor of Bhavan's Journal during 1983 - 2000. The Bhavan published three of his books viz. The African Mind, Kanchi Mahaswami on poets and poetry and Shyam's Mother besides prescribing his compilation The Cultural Heritage of India for its students. The last mentioned book on culture has now been revised and re-written in an enlarged form under the title Indian Culture as the Song of the Spirit - An Introduction - published by the Birla Foundation in co-operation with the Bhavan's Bangalore branch. During 2001 - 2004, V.S.R.K. was closely associated with the Encyclopedia of Hinduism sponsored by the Indian Heritage Research Foundation, Rishikesh. He edits a Mumbai quarterly journal, Dilip. Shyam's mother is the outcome of V.S.R.K.'s admiration of Sane Guruji as a patriot and passionate love of Marathi, Wbich he studied during 1969 - 76 while serving in Goa as a Government Officer.
