Plant Genetic Resources: Oilseed and Cash Crop

Crops genetic resources are fundamental to the agricultural production and the future plant breeding which is of critical importance to meet the needs of mankind. Besides providing food and fodder, they make a vital contribution to agricultural economy as source of oil, sugar and fibers. This book presents a compilation on the current status of genetic resource of important oilseed and cash crops (rapeseed-mustard, groundnut, soyabean, sunflower, castor, sesame, niger, safflower, cotton, jute and allied fibers and sugarcane).
