Value Based Management for Organizational Excellence

"Value Based Management" refers to the tools that managers can use to plan, organize and control a firm's operations in the ways that enhance shareholder's value. A value driver is any variable that affects the value of organizations. To be useful, however, value drivers need to be organized so that managers could identify those which have the greatest impact on the values and assign responsibility for them to the individuals who can help the organization to meet its targets. It is the management approach which ensures that organizations are important and are managed consistently on values to achieve the organizational excellence. For value based management to be successful, high level of initiative, creativity, leadership, training and implementation of ideas are required.
